Säters fvof offers several exciting fishing and nature experiences within walking and cycling distance from the central town and Säters Camping. Sea fishing dominates but fishing in watercourses, with Ljusterån and a stretch of the Dalälven as the most significant, are excursion rooms that offer great nature experiences in addition to fishing. In these waters, trout (Ljusterån and Dalälven), grayling and rainbow trout can surprise (Dalälven). Planted rainbow trout and trout, if available, are planted regularly in our precious fishing lakes in Nisshyttan (special fishing license required) and trout (only) in Ljustern ( regular sport fishing license applies).
Now it is far from only the red-spotted fish that attract interest. Yellow-spotted pike as well as its striped perch cousins are popular species. Not to mention the eel, whose late summer fishing has become a recurring attraction (our waters are not covered by the eel fishing ban, but we recommend that caught eels be released again). On our website you will find fishing tips, information about our fish species and water, research and statistics etc.
All sales of fishing licenses now take place digitally via iFiske. Fishing map can be downloaded from our website or from iFiske. Hoping for a pleasant fishing experience. / the board of Säter's fvof

Säter's fvof was formed in 1989 and is one of four major fisheries conservation areas in Säter municipality. We manage just over 60 waters, everything from lakes and streams to small ponds and streams, as well as two put-and-take waters with planting of rainbow trout (subject to availability) in Björshyttsjön and Myggtjärn.
The association's ambition is to facilitate the public's fishing by selling fishing licenses, arranging activities, increasing accessibility and service, for example with fishing piers, log cabins, fireplaces and informing interested parties about fishing and fish on our website ( www.fiskaisater.se ). We also work with fisheries and water conservation measures in the form of demolition of migration barriers and restoration of aquatic environments.
